CONTINUOUS OPERATING PLANT FOR THE PHYSICAL DESULPHURATION OF GRAPE MUST - Mod. DESOLF4
The desulfurization plant consists of the following main parts:
- heat exchanger consisting of a single section of plates in which the incoming must is preheated and consequently the desulphurized must or condensate is cooled, circulating in counter current.
The heat exchanger is made by means of a frame complete with dividing and end plates connected through two longitudinal members for their sliding and fixed with a series of closing tie rods; the system of ribbed plates is made of AISI 316 stainless steel joined together by means of an EPDM gasket.

- evaporation chamber with desulfurization column, of the plate type with bubbling caps, cylindrical in shape with vertical axis, equipped with observation windows
- reflux condenser, cylindrical in shape with horizontal axis built with tubes, tube plates, collector chambers and condensation chamber
- column for the abatement of sulfur dioxide vapors, cylindrical in shape with vertical axis, equipped with "Rasching" rings
- centrifugal pump for feeding the must in the first effect, directly coupled to an electric motor
- centrifugal pump for the recycling of the must in the first effect, directly coupled to an electric motor
- centrifugal pump for the extraction of the desulphurized product
- set of indication and control tools:
evaporation chamber level management of quantity of product to be extracted
flowmeter for instantaneous measurement of the must flow rate
set of local temperature indicators
- butterfly valves, fittings and pipes in AISI 316 stainless steel for internal connection between the equipment described above, for the circulation of all the main and auxiliary process fluids
- control panel including all the electrical controls of the concentration system motors, with push-button panel, safety devices, acoustic and visual alarm
WATER COOLING SYSTEM WITH EVAPORATIVE TOWER
The system consists of:
- evaporative tower, for containment
polypropylene heat exchange filling material for high temperatures
droplet separator in polypropylene for high temperatures
water dispenser, in polyvinyl chloride tube, with polypropylene nozzles
axial fan with special profile blades, driven by a vertical axis electric motor,
- electrical material for fan motor management
- centrifugal pump for water circulation, directly coupled to an electric motor
