BORTOLIN KEMO S.P.A.

The company was founded in 1945 by Mario Bortolin. The company started its adventure by manufacturing wine pouring small plants for restaurants and pubs. During the 60s the first bottling necessities started to raise, and Mario Bortolin was one of the very first enterpreneurs to manufacture small linear filling machines and then, in cooperation with other companies, the first bottling lines with rotary machines. In the 70s, with the necessity of more performing bottling lines, the company decided to specialize in the end-line machines: case erectors, crate packers, case packers, case sealers, palletizers and depalletizers. In the same years the company acquired Kemo Industries, a company which core business was the manufacturing of machines for metal closures production. In 1987 both companies, Bortolin and Kemo Industries, joined to create Bortolin Kemo S.p.A. In 2000 the two companies were jointed in the headquarter in Porcia (Pordenone). In 2005 Bortolin Kemo NE Ltd. was founded, in order to follow the North Europe markets. Nowadays Bortolin Kemo operates in two different sectors, in the common landscape of the packaging industry: - The Packaging Division, which manufactures: case erectors, decraters, crate packers, case packers, partition inserters, case sealers, depalletizers,palletizers and conveyors. - The Closures Division, which manufactures: sheet feed and strip feed pressing plants, moulds, drawing and redrawing machines, rolling machines, lining machines, folding and slitting machines, sorters and feeders. Bortolin Kemo also offers a full range of services: - Line engineering - Turn-key lines development - Project management - Aftersales service - Machine rental The technical structure is always involved in the research and development of new technical and technological innovations. Many solutions are covered by worldwide patents. In the line signed by the founder, Bortolin Kemo S.p.A. is a modern company, respectful of the rules and tasks and, even with a SPA company structure, it remains a family business.
